5. What is the 2006 summer program?

This summer, MWBSI is expanding and improving last summer’s program.  We’re keeping the foundation of physical health, academics, and employment.  Instead of one open-enrollment site, we have several sites with fixed enrollment.  The independent sites are responsible for the academics and physical health, and MWBSI is responsible for the employment. 

MWBSI and the independent sites have a checks-and-balances power relationship.  The academics and physical health curricula at the independent sites must satisfy the standards of the MWBSI Health Director and Academic Director.  Conversely, the independent sites control access to the employment.  If students don’t meet standards in academics and physical health, MWBSI will not employ them.
