The goal of a resume is to secure an interview. It is not to secure a job. You secure a job offer at, or after, the interview. Tell the employer how to contact you, what work experience you have had, where you have attended school and college, and why you are qualified for work in general, and this specific job in particular. Format your resume like this: Firstname Lastname Employment (For each paid job, including informal work such as baby-sitting or lawn-mowing, input:Position (Job title) Name of Employer Complete Address of Employer Employer's Phone Number Supervisor Supervisor's Phone Number(s) Supervisor's e-mail address Education (For each school you have attended, input:) Civics List memberhips, such as congregation, Boy/Girl Scouts, volutneer positions Health Athletics (what sport, what team -- Freshman, Junior Varsity, Varsity, AAU, name of club), position (Halfback, Guard, 100 Yard), and Year(s) played |
